Load Testing & Verification

Cradlecraft performs annual load testing and safety verification to confirm the unit’s operational capacity. These tests are essential for verifying the performance of the hoist and braking systems under maximum working loads.

Thorough Examination (LOLER)

We conduct statutory “Thorough Examinations” in accordance with LOLER 1998 to satisfy your legal obligations. Our engineers focus on safety-critical components, mechanical integrity, and wear patterns to ensure the equipment is safe for continued use.

The Quarterly Inspection Regime

To maintain full compliance with BS 6037, we implement a structured quarterly servicing and inspection regime. This includes a mix of routine servicing and 6-monthly thorough examinations to ensure the equipment remains reliable and certified year-round

Functional Testing

A full assessment of the mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including emergency stops and limit switches. We ensure the equipment responds correctly in all operational and emergency scenarios to protect operatives at height.

Regulatory Compliance

  • BS 6037-1:2003 (Code of practice for permanently installed systems)
  • BS EN 1808 (Safety requirements for suspended access equipment)
  • LOLER 1998 (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations)
